Lola is an exceptional mother and occasionally puts me to shame with her meticulous housekeeping in the whelping box, and she has seven pups... Her babies always look glossy and clean due to her constant attentions. She doesn't miss even a tiny dribble of milk on their little chins before she swoops in to wash their faces clean. No wonder she looks a little tired here.
